I always say that Castle Rock’s biggest blessing and biggest cursing is the same thing. It is “we are Castle Rock.” This is a huge cursing because growth comes to this congregation so easy. We just have to do a few things right and the congregation takes off. In just the last couple of months, we went from seeing 170-180’s to hitting the 200 mark. In most congregations, this would never have happened. But we are Castle Rock, and we grow. This is the problem sometimes, we expect growth to just happen, and mostly it does. But just imagine if we really put all of our effort into reaching people with the saving message of Jesus. Think about what would happen in this congregation, and think about how exciting it would be to watch people’s lives turned around because of Jesus. Imagine all the joy and excitement that would come from people being overjoyed about this new faith. Imagine how wonderful it would be to know you were part of this process.

People I think sometimes we forget how wonderful it is to be Castle Rock. We have a secure base in doctrine. We are not, and I mean not going to do anything that would be in error. The elders have a strong sense of balanced doctrinal direction. We are going to hold the narrow road. But we are not going to stop moving down this road. We are going to stay in the middle but we are going to travel this road to save souls. I mean we are going to do everything we can to accomplish the mission of God. We want to do everything we can to be pleasing to Jesus.

Everyone, we are doing great. Everyone, do not forget what we have here. Look around, there are churches that have no young people, we have a ton of young people. We have elders, most churches do not, we have a great location (but we do need a new sign), and we have the gospel being preached. Everyone, we are so blessed!
